IKI-Kiuas product development kicked-off in 1990 when heat exchange engineer and inventor Jouni Kerrman came up with an exceptional and novel design for a sauna stove. The design is based on a great mass of stones surrounded by a stainless steel mesh frame instead of the traditional steel casing. The steam in the sauna was superior to anything ever experienced before and the heater itself looked timelessly stylish. Heat exchange engineer Kerrman continued developing sauna stoves as a hobby until IKI-Kiuas Ltd. was established in 1997. Kerrman’s son took over the comapany’s business management in 2003, which is when IKI heaters were launched for public.

Today IKI-Kiuas Ltd. is a fast-growing company, whose products have reached a near cult-like status in the sauna business. All of the company’s products are 100% Finnish handicraft and quality design products. The company invests heavily in continuous product development and staff training. Thousands of IKI stoves and heaters have been sold both to ordinary family saunas as well as to global business leaders and heads of state all over the world from Finland to Russia and all the way to the Philippines.
