IKI-Kiuas – Royalty of sauna heaters

The superiority of IKI-Kiuas products is based on the great amount of stones they hold, which guarantees unforgettable and oxygen rich bathing experience with a short heating time. The stones heat up in 1 - 1,5 hours because the contact surface of the resistors is large and the air circulates freely between the stones, thanks to the round shape of the heater. This guarantees soft and strong heat even for the lower benches.
The basic idea behind the IKI electric heaters and wood burning stoves is the same: when the stones have been heated the temperature in the sauna stays in an enjoyable 50-70 degrees Celsius. By throwing water on the heater the humidity and temperature of the sauna is increased into ideal bathing temperature. This way the oxygen does not run out and the sauna stays enjoyable for a long time.

IKI Electric Heaters
The basic idea behind the IKI electric heaters is the same as in the IKI wood burning stoves. The stones are heated and the air in the sauna stays in an enjoyable temperature of 50-70 Celsius. The humidity and temperature in the sauna is increased by throwing water on the heater in the same manner as in a traditional smoke sauna.
The resistors in the IKI electric heaters are durable because they are completely covered by stones. The IKI electric heaters are also well suited for smaller saunas because of their small safety distances which leave room for larger sauna benches.
As in the IKI wood burning stoves, the fast heating of the stones is also possible in the electric IKIs due to the large contact surface of the resistors as well as the free flow of air.

IKI Wood Burning Stoves
The sturdy stainless steel mesh cover, thick steel pipe and high quality Finnish metal work guarantee the durability of the IKI stoves.
The secret of the IKI stoves lay in their round shape and large amount of stones (140-300 kg). The stones heat up to ideal bathing temperature in about an hour, because the contact surface between the stones, furnace and fire pipe is large (appx. 1 m2) and the flow of air is free. The functionality of the IKI stoves is ensured by carefully thought out details such as their large furnace and upwards opening hatch. This enables the burning of large and overly long fire wood while heating the sauna. The large hatch automatically pushes the long wood inwards while it burns. Fire grate and ash hatch are not needed in the IKI stoves because the burning residue is clean. The wood consumption is small and the furnace ventilates well.
