IKI-Kiuas product development first got started in the year 1990 when heat exchange engineer inventor Jouni Kerrman invented an exceptional and novel sauna heater. Its usability was based on a great amount of stones surrounded by a stainless steel mesh cover instead of the traditional steel box. The heat in the sauna was superior to anything experienced before and the heater itself was timelessly stylish.
Inventor Kerrman first invented sauna heaters as a hobby until IKI-Kiuas Ltd. was established in the year 1997. Kerrman’s son took over the business side of the company in 2003 when IKI heaters were launched for the larger markets.
